Blair Andersen is an Instructor of Dance at Valdosta State University. Blair has coached and choreographed at the high school and collegiate level for 16 years including serving as the head coach of the Colorado State University Golden Poms, Division 1A Dance Team for 4 years. Recently, she has had the pleasure to work with the Crimson Cabaret Dance Team at the University of Alabama and the Golden Girls at the University of Alabama, Birmingham where her choreography was featured at the Universal Dance Association College Dance Team Nationals. Blair also had the opportunity to teach a Master Class to the Advanced Jazz Class for the University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance.
Blair was the Best Choreographer Award Recipient in 2017 from Broadway World- Birmingham Region for her choreography in the show "Ragtime" performed at Theatre Tuscaloosa and in 2018 was a Best Choreographer Nominee from Broadway World- Birmingham Region for her choreography in the show "Cabaret". She has also served as a judge for state/regional high school dance championships in Colorado and Wyoming. Blair’s choreography has also been performed by the Colorado Eagles Chicks (Central Hockey League-Minor League Franchise).
Her work has been performed by groups in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Tennessee, and Wyoming. She continues to teach and choreograph throughout the United States. When Blair is not teaching, she is an Associate Broker with Real Living Realty Advisors. Blair attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Colorado State University where she earned her degree in Dance.
