More than 350 students have earned a scholarship through Valdosta State University Foundation Inc. for Fall Semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.

Pops in the Park Benefits VSU Music Scholarships
Valdosta State University’s Music Scholarship Alliance hosts Pops in the Park at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. General admission tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for students, senior citizens, and military personnel; and free for children ages 12 and under.
Collector’s Legacy of Joy Lives on Through Hummel Exhibit at VSU’s Odum Library
The Georgianna Baer Manning Hummel Exhibit at Odum Library runs through Nov. 20. It is located on the first floor of the library in the North Lobby display cases.
VSU Hosts National Night Out Oct. 4
The Valdosta State University Police Department will present National Night Out from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, on the Front Lawn. Admission, all activities, and concessions are free of charge, while supplies last.

VSU’s Charleston Carter Earns National Recognition, Shares New Skills With Students
Valdosta State University’s Charleston L. Carter recently earned national recognition as a certified fellow of the Institute for Court Management at the National Center for State Courts. He lives in Washington, D.C., where he serves as deputy director of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia’s Civil Division.
VSU Brings Legendary Latin Grammy Award-Winning Jazz Flutist to Campus
Latin Grammy Award winner Néstor Torres discusses his life, his culture, and his music at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Valdosta State University’s Odum Library Auditorium. Two days later the legendary jazz flutist performs live in concert with VSU’s Jazz Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, in Whitehead Auditorium, located on the first floor of the university’s Fine Arts Building.
