8 p.m.
Valdosta State University will remain closed Tuesday, September 5, and will reopen for classes and business at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6.

This will allow additional time to restore power, assess campus buildings and technical services, and provide extra time for employees and students to safely return to campus.

The VSU football game on Saturday has been moved to 3 p.m. due to the possibility of there being no electricity at the stadium. All pre-game activities, including the tailgate festivities and the Blazer Walk, are cancelled. Season ticketholders are still invited to attend the game. No individual tickets will be sold.
