VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University’s Department of Student Diversity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Society of International Students, will host a Holi Festival at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at Palms Quad.

Holi, known as the festival of colors, is a traditional Hindu holiday that celebrates the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. Participants observe Holi by playing music, dancing, and throwing colored powder and paint at one another.

This student-initiated event is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Hindu students will share about the cultural significance of Holi and its traditions. Everyone is encouraged to wear white clothing.

The Department of Student Diversity and Inclusion is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive campus environment for all students.
