VSU Presents State of the University Address April 22

VALDOSTA — Dr. Cecil P. Staton, interim president of Valdosta State University, will deliver the State of the University address at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 22, in Whitehead Auditorium.

With a focus on the 2015-2016 academic term, Staton will present a year in review, as well as address initiatives that have been undertaken at VSU since his arrival on campus in early July, nearly 10 months ago. He will also recognize the recipients of the Presidential Excellence Award for Teaching, the Presidential Excellence Award for Service, the Presidential Excellence Award for Research, the Presidential Excellence Award for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and the Presidential Excellence Award for Online Teaching.

Seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Whitehead Auditorium is located on the first floor of the VSU Fine Arts Building, at the intersection of Brookwood Drive and Oak Street.
