Join the Blazers Sept. 13 for Clash in Cobb County

VALDOSTA--The Valdosta State University Alumni Association and the V-State Club are combining forces to help alumni and friends of the university show their Blazer spirit prior to the Sept. 13 football game against Winston-Salem State University. The game will be played at McEachern High School, located in Powder Springs, Ga., (Cobb County), and kickoff is at 4 p.m.
 
The weekend festivities begin Friday night at 6:30 p.m. with a reception at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center (located in the Cobb Galleria on Galleria Parkway).
 
Events continue Saturday with tailgating hosted by the Alumni Association at 1 p.m., catered by Atlanta’s iconic The Varsity.
 
High school juniors and seniors along with family members are invited to attend the V-State Experience at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel. Register online at www.valdosta.edu or call VSU's Office of Admissions at 1-800-618-1878.
 
Cost to attend the tailgate is $10 per person.
