100 Women in Pink Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University graduate student Ha’gar Simpson is hosting the 100 Women in Pink event to support those who have been affected by breast cancer. Women in pink will have a group photo taken at 10:30 a.m., Oct. 30 at the fountain in front of the University Center.

Simpson asks anyone who is participating to wear pink and to bring a $1 to $5 donation, which will go toward purchasing wigs for cancer patients. The wigs will be donated to South Georgia Medical Center Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center.

VSU faculty, staff and staff, along with members of the community are invited to attend. Informational brochures and small gifts will be handed out to those who attend.

Contact Ha’gar Simpson at hgsimpson@valdosta.edu or (850) 255-9003 for more information on this event.
