VSU SIFE Hosts iCan Week
VALDOSTA -- VSU SIFE members are hosting iCan Week from
Thursday, Feb. 16 - Saturday, Feb. 25 to help fight hunger by
participating in the Campbell’s Let’s Can Hunger Challenge. This
challenge is a competition sponsored by Campbell Soup Company that
challenges SIFE teams in Canada, Mexico and the United States to
raise awareness of hunger, translate awareness to action in the
form of urgent hunger relief and empower those in need to defeat
the cycle of hunger.
Teams are challenged to develop a hunger awareness marketing plan
that compels their community to provide urgent hunger relief
through the team’s food and fund drives. Presently, VSU SIFE has
raised over 2,500 of their 25,000 pound goal. To achieve this goal,
they are asking local businesses to make a contribution of none
perishable food items or money to be donated to the Salvation Army
and/or America’s Second Harvest in the name of Let’s Can
Hunger.
There will be many different activities to participate in
throughout the week including:
