VSU Disability History Exhibit Covers 3,000 Years
VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University's Access Office and Office
of Social Equity are co-sponsoring a Disability History Exhibit,
which will be on display each day beginning at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 25-26
in the University Center entrance five and Jan. 27-30 in Palms
Dining Hall.
The Disability History Exhibit is part of the overall "Tunnel"
event and shows what life was like in the past for people with
developmental and other disabilities. The exhibit is a 22-panel
collage that traces 3,000 years of rarely told history. From the
past to the present, the exhibit takes visitors through an
illustrated timeline showing society’s attitudes and how they
affect the lives of people with disabilities.
For more information, contact the Access Office at (229) 245-2498
or the Office of Social Equity at (229) 333-5463.
