Lee Denim Day

VALDOSTA -- The Office of Health Promotions and Campus Wellness is inviting faculty and staff to participate in Lee Denim Day on Wednesday, Oct. 19, to raise awareness of breast cancer. Faculty and staff can wear denim by donating $5, which will go to the Lee Denim Day campaign supporting the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

The EIF collaborates with top institutions and scientists around the country in groundbreaking research efforts to find better detection methods and improved therapies for the treatment of breast cancer.

Students are encouraged to stop by the Student Union on Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to pick up information about breast cancer awareness.

Individuals can drop off their off their donations in Powell Hall East or make their donations online at www.denimday.com. The registered team name is V.S.U. and the ID number is 237372. Help raise awareness for breast cancer research while enjoying a comfy, casual day.
