Greek Life Ends Semester Strong

VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University’s Greek Life closed the spring semester strong, raising more than $6,000 for various charities. Several Greek organizations and members also received awards for outstanding scholarship and service at the Greek Assembly in April.

Greek Life raised $2,000 during the Interfraternity Council’s annual Tug event. Two checks for $150 were also donated to charities on behalf of this year’s tug winners, Kappa Delta and Sigma Nu.

The College Panhellenic Council raised $4,244 during its annual step show. The money will benefit the Partnership Cancer fund. The top three step teams, Phi Mu (first place), Alpha Delta Pi (second place) and Chi Omega (third place) also received checks for their respective charities.
