5K to Benefit Valdosta Symphony Orchestra

VALDOSTA -- The Valdosta Symphony Guild is teaming up with A Course/Line, LLC to put on a 5K road race at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in front of the VSU Campus at 1500 N. Patterson St.

Those interested in registering for the 3.1 mile loop, which supports VSU students in the orchestra, may sign up and pay the $20 entry fee by Friday, March 4, at https://www.runningintheusa.com/Race/SignUp.aspx?RaceID=33571 . People may also sign up the day of the race, but only pre-registered entrants will be guaranteed an event T-shirt.

Awards for the 5K will be given to the overall male and female, the top masters male and female, as well as, the top two finishers in the following age categories: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up.

Participants may pick up their race-packets at Get Active Running and More, 3200 N. Ashley St., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 4.
