Visiting Artist Shares Narrative
VALDOSTA -- Julie Guyot, an adjunct instructor at Florida State
University in, will host a free, two-day workshop to share her
personal narrative through pottery.
"My current work examines my family's history through photographs
and ephemera both found from outside sources and acquired from my
family," said Guyot. "Using this imagery allows me to create my own
narrative of a time and place and people that I know very little
about."
Workshops
Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 1 - 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 30,
from 9 a.m. - 4:30pm. in the Valdosta State University Ceramics
Studio, Fine Arts Building, room 136.
Lecture
Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Art History Lecture Room,
University Center, room 2004. Her talk is free and open to the
public.
