Flu Shots Available
VALDOSTA -- The Student Health Center has received the flu
vaccine, which covers the H1N1 virus strain. The vaccine will be
available to students for $10 and to faculty for $20 (cash or
check).
Students interested in receiving the flu shot should come to the
Student Health Center on Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 9-11 a.m. and
2-4 p.m. Students must present their VSU Student ID card. The
vaccine will be available by appointment throughout the rest of the
flu season. Call the health center at (229) 219-3200 to schedule an
appointment. Also, look out for the "roving cart" set up throughout
campus to receive a convenient vaccine on-the-go.
After Friday, Oct. 22, faculty and staff may also schedule an
appointment to receive the flu shot. Employees must present their
VSU ID card to receive the vaccine.
Health Center staff will be offering flu shots at the Benefits and
Wellness Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Above
costs apply.
