VSU Hosts Spring Installments of Langdale Lecture Series

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University’s Langdale College of Business Administration will host two spring installments of its annual Langdale Lecture Series at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, and Monday, March 23, in the Pound Hall auditorium.

Dr. Ronald Fountain, VSU alumnus and dean of the Walsh University School of Business, will address guests about the importance of experiential learning over a declared major in his presentation titled “Reflections on the Journey Through a Rich Professional Life.”

The former managing partner of Capital Acceleration Partners, LLC has been a dynamic senior corporate executive in business finance and management, as well as a college professor, for many years. His broad experience in the business world spans a variety of positions in banking, investor relations, investment management and more, creating a rich background from which to speak.

Fountain, vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, also serves as the chairman of that board’s finance committee. He has published many articles and speaks frequently on effective leadership, finance and organizational change.

The dynamic speaker earned a Bachelor of Science in 1965 from then Valdosta State College and a Master of Business Administration in1983 and Executive Doctor of Management in 1999 from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Fountain and Fred Gray, president of Gray Systems, Inc., Howey in the Hils Fla., will be the featured speakers in this spring’s Langdale Lecture Series, which is free and open to the public. Call LCOBA at (229) 333-5991 for more information.
