Nursing Hosts Research and Scholarship Day

VALDOSTA - The Valdosta State University Epsilon Pi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Nursing Honors Society, will host the 26th Annual Research and Scholarship Day from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, April 18, in the University Center.

Throughout the full-day event, registered nurses, who hold bachelor, master and doctoral degrees, will present various research and scholarly projects and special speakers will address topics of history and the healthcare industry. Participants will be provided with updates about current methods and evidence from injury and investigation on topics related to nursing and healthcare.

The will feature keynote speaker, Karen Saucier Lundy, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, a professor at the University of Southern Mississippi School of Nursing and internationally recognized nurse researcher. Lundy is also the author of “Community Health Nursing: Caring for the Public’s Health.”
