Langdale College of Business Reaccredited; Cited for Best Practices

VALDOSTA - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International) has reaffirmed accreditation for Valdosta State University’s Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration.

AACSB-accredited business schools are part of an elite group consisting of less than 10 percent of the world’s business schools. Earning or maintaining accreditation is a five-year process during which a business school undergoes meticulous internal review, evaluation and adjustments, as needed. During this time, schools develop and implement a strategic plan to meet the 21 AACSB requirements, which include highly qualified faculty members, a commitment to continuous improvement and curricula that are responsive to the needs of business.

The current reaffirmation of AACSB accreditation for the Langdale College extends until April 2012. In addition to maintaining accreditation, the Langdale College was cited for three Best Practices: (1) The Student Advising Center; (2) Assurance of Learning processes; and (3) Faculty collegiality and involvement in all aspects of the college.
