Zaccari to cover budget, major issues and awards in VSU CentennialYear Convocation Address

President's remarks to be televised live

President Ronald M. Zaccari will deliver Valdosta State University's 2006 Fall Semester Convocation Address on Monday, August 7 in the Whitehead Auditorium beginning at 10 a.m. His remarks are scheduled just prior to the start of fall classes on August 14 and VSU's 100th birthday celebration on August 18. Zaccari's comments will be carried live on VSU-TV (Cable Channel 11) and will also be re-aired on a taped delayed basis at 8 p.m. that evening as well as at 8 p.m. on August 9th and August 11th.

The Zaccari address is expected to cover a number of major issues, including an update on the VSU budgeting process, Strategic Planning, campus construction efforts, the campus historic preservation and parking study, and the overall economic impact of VSU on the area during its Centennial year. In addition the President will present the traditional faculty and staff excellence awards.

All members of the faculty, staff and the VSU community are invited to attend the address.
