Former students join VSU in sharing 100 years of history

Whether they attended South Georgia State Normal College, Georgia State Womans College, or Valdosta State College, former students of the Valdosta State University's early days will soon have the opportunity to participate in two commemorative events.

On Friday, April 21, the Valdosta State College class of 1956 will celebrate their 50-year class reunion, in the University Center Cypress Room, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person and include the meal and entertainment. Students from the class of 1954, 1955, 1957 and 1958 are also invited to celebrate the occasion.

On Saturday, April 22, the annual House in the Woods luncheon will take place at the University Center Magnolia Room, at 11:30 a.m. Alumni and faculty from the first class of 1915 through the class of 1966 are welcomed and celebrated at this event. Tickets are $15

Zaccari will talk about a number of initiatives currently underway and review the progress the university has made in its first 100 years.
