Student Conference Showcases Excellence in Technology

Valdosta State University's Educational Technology Training Center will sponsor the Showcase Excellence in Technology Conference on May 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the College of Education Building.

The Showcase Excellence in Technology Conference is a student-centered technology conference. The conference is designed to show how technology is used in the classroom by teams of students and teachers from various elementary, middle, and high schools from the south Georgia area. The teams represent schools from the following: Berrien Co., Brooks Co., Lowndes Co., Ware Co., Colquitt Co., and Valdosta City.

The public will have an opportunity to see examples of how teachers are using technology in their daily lessons and preparing today's students for tomorrow's world. Presentations will range from elementary to high school students sharing their ability to use technology. Teachers and students are anxious to showcase the innovative ways in which they have incorporated technology into their school curriculum.

For additional information, please contact the Educational Technology Training Center at 229-249-2781.
