Sankofa African American Museum on Wheels visits VSU
The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs/Multicultural Affairs
will sponsor Sankofa African American Museum on Wheels Feb. 25-26
in the Magnolia Room at the University Center. The exhibit will be
held Friday, Feb. 25 from noon- 10 p.m. and resume Saturday, Feb.
26 at 9 a.m.
This museum on wheels is considered to be one of the foremost
collections of African American history readily available in the
country. The exhibit is a testament to the vast contributions that
African Americans have made to this country and the world.
As part of the exhibit, South Carolina native Angela Jennings
presents stories and dramatizations about select periods and
historical figures to allow everyone to experience both the pain
and the pride of the history portrayed.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
