VSU invites community to participate in Sept. 11 ceremony
Valdosta State University will remember Sept. 11 with a special
ceremony at 8 p.m. on the front lawn of the campus.
The special ceremony is open to the public and will feature the
lighting of 3,000 candles, to represent those who lost their lives
last year in the terrorist attacks.
The ceremony will also include the raising of the colors by Air
Force ROTC cadets, David Johnson singing the national anthem and
remarks by university officials. The VSU Mass Choir will sing
?Amazing Grace? at the conclusion of the service.
