VSU hires executive search firm

Valdosta State University's Presidential Search and Advisory Committee (PSAC) recently contracted with the firm A.T. Kearney Inc., to assist in the executive search process for the university's next president.

Representatives from A.T. Kearney will be on VSU's campus Feb. 27, to meet with faculty and staff, students and the general public during the following times:

* 3:00?3:45 p.m. Students
* 4:00?4:45 p.m. Faculty
* 5:00?5:45 p.m. Staff and Administrators
* 6:00?6:45 p.m. General public

All forums will be held in the Biology/Chemistry Building Auditorium. Individuals who would like to make suggestions or comments, regarding the qualifications of the new president, should furnish their ideas in writing and present them at the meeting.

A.T. Kearney was selected among several professional firms that have experience in the area of higher education executive searches. According to Dr. Fred Ware, PSAC chairman, A.T. Kearney was chosen for its excellent track record in recent presidential searches within the University System of Georgia, including Georgia Southern University, Georgia College and State University and Georgia Southwestern State University.
