Registration going on now for April caregivers' conference

VALDOSTA�The Second Annual Conference of the South Georgia Caregivers' Network (CARE-NET) will be held April 18-19 at the University Center of Valdosta State University. Registration is underway now for the event, titled "Caring and Sharing: Caring for Those Who Care for Others."

Organizers say the conference is meant for family and professional caregivers�anyone who cares for people with chronic physical or mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, the frail elderly or those with substance abuse problems. Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter is scheduled to address conference participants April 18.

The conference is sponsored by CARE-NET, a joint project of the VSU Division of Social Work and The Rosalynn Carter Institute of Georgia Southwestern State University. Cost is $60 per person and seating is limited. Continuing Education Units (CEU's) are available. For registration information or additional details, call 229-293-6145.
