Sorority Recruitment 

College is all about self-discovery and figuring out what truly matters to you. It's a time to explore who you are and the value you want to bring to the world. And guess what? Joining a sorority is an amazing way to find your community – a group of supportive women who will cheer you on and push you to grow. Your future sisters will be there to uplift you as you discover your full potential. Through the sorority experience, you'll have the chance to explore leadership, give back to the community, and make a difference. It's about coming together to create positive change!

But let's not forget the fun side of sorority life! Picture this: singing your heart out with your go-to girls, having late-night study sessions with your sorority sisters, having a sister who's always there with ice cream (or a hug) when you need it, and having a mentor who inspires you to be the best version of yourself. Sorority life is all about building lifelong friendships and creating unforgettable memories.

Oh, and here's a little secret: sororities provide you with a powerful network and a world of opportunities. It goes beyond what you can even imagine right now. Your sorority will help you find your place at Valdosta State by connecting you with amazing opportunities to lead and grow. Plus, the benefits of being part of a sorority are real – sorority women are three times more likely to have an internship while in school and twice as likely to have a job after graduation.

One of the most incredible things about sororities is the sense of belonging and support they offer. We often talk about "sisterhood" because sororities become your family away from home. Your sisters will be there for you through the highs and lows, celebrating your achievements, lending an ear during tough times, and being a shoulder to lean on. Sisterhood goes beyond friendship and lasts well beyond your college years.

Informal and Spring Recruitment

Even though formal recruitment has ended, some of our chapters still have a few spots open for new members. 

Spring recruitment (informal) will begin Jauary 13th. Chapters will host events and extend invitations to potential new members. Contact individiaul chapters for more information! 

Registration for Formal Recruitment 2025 will open in March.

Letters of Recommendation

Recommendations are letters written on the behalf of a potential new member by an alumna, and while they may be helpful during the recruitment process they are in no way required. Alumnae writing recommendation letters can find submission links on each national website. Or, letters can be mailed to:
