In line with NASW’s Social Work theme for 2024, Empowering Social Workers, Valdosta State University Master of Social Work Program is hosting a spring CEU conference focusing on trauma and ethics. Attendees have the opportunity to earn up to 11 CEUs in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, and Counseling.
Certificates will be sent to the email address provided at registration no later than two weeks after the event. Please verify the correct email address is used.

There will be parking at the University Conference Center, and all attendees are encouraged to obtain a virtual parking permit fromthe Parking & Transportation Department or University Police Department before parking on campus. Daily permits are free of charge. Weekend Parking, Friday after 3:00pm, Saturday and Sunday, no permit is required. If a visitor receives a parking citation for no parking permit during the week, they should immediatelynotify the Parking & Transportation Department for instructions. The department will decide if the citation(s) can be cleared as a guest or if the ticket(s) should proceedwith an appeal (decision based on the customer’s account and citation violation).
Lunch will not be provided, but the MSW program will provide coffee and light refreshments. Attendees will have an hour to grab lunch at a nearbyrestaurant.
There are two options to share your agency’s resources. 1) Bring brochures to leave at a shared resource table with other information. 2) Sign up to be a vendor when you register for the conference. In the event you are not sure your agency would like to have a vendor table at the time of individual registration, you can sign up as a vendor at a later time.
No, you can register for one day if needed. However, you will need to attend the full day you registered for to receive CEUs.
We recommend business casual. The building might get cold, so please bring layers.
