Reserve CELT Room

Located at 102 Georgia Avenue, CELT is housed in a beautiful two-story historic building with multiple meeting rooms and gathering spaces for faculty to work together or on their own.

The building is primarily for use by faculty, or for events that have a faculty development focus.

To reserve a space or room at CELT , please review the pictures and descriptions, and then fill out the digital form below a minimum of one week in advance of an event.  Reservations made within 48 hours of the proposed date and time might not be approved.

Descriptions and pictures of five different spaces or rooms that can be reserved:

  • Front Porch  (downstairs, handicapped accessible from back door): Facing historic Georgia Avenue near the corner of Patterson Street, the front porch is a beautiful setting, especially during cooler times of the day. The front porch has four rocking chairs for you to enjoy. A single-stall all-gender bathroom is nearby inside the building. This is not a private space.

  • Lounge (downstairs, handicapped accessible from back door): Situated inside the front entrance of the building and facing a fireplace, the Lounge features seven stuffed chairs and three small tables. A single-stall all-gender bathroom is nearby. This is not a private space.

  • Conference Room 1 (downstairs, handicapped accessible from back door): Situated off the lounge behind French glass doors, Conference Room 1 features three rectangular tables with wheels, currently positioned as one large meeting table to allow eight individuals to sit together. A large touch screen video display with smart computer technology hangs from a wall in this room allowing for video conferencing. A single-stall all-gender bathroom is located nearby. This is a semi-private space.

  • Conference Room 2  (upstairs): Situated in the comfy corner room upstairs, Conference Room 2 features one large conference table, currently positioned with nine rolling office chairs and extra seating options available at your convenience. A large touch screen video display with smart computer technology hangs from a wall in this room allowing for video conferencing. A single-stall all-gender bathroom is attached to this space. This is a private space.

  • Group Workroom (upstairs): Located upstairs facing historic Georgia Avenue near the corner of Patterson Street, the Group Workroom serves many purposes. The workroom has three desks with computers (one with a printer and computer while the others have two screens), as well as a round table for four, a couch for two, and a large classroom whiteboard attached to a wall in this room, serving as the perfect idea board. A single-stall all-gender bathroom is located nearby. This is a private space.

  • Notes: CELT has cameras for security purposes. The building requires VSU ID card-swipe access through the backdoor beyond the University's regular hours of operation. There is a wheelchair ramp at the backdoor but not at the front entrance. Any events scheduled after 3 PM on Friday will not have Administrative staff on duty.
