The Division of Information Technology (IT) manages the majority of Valdosta State University's network and communications, and computing technologies. Our purpose is to support the university's mission of teaching and learning, research, and service by expanding access to a sound, secure, and sustainable technology infrastructure in terms of business intelligence, instructional technology, information systems and security, networking, and client support.

  • CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER AND IT EXECUTIVES
    Division Leadership Team assess the needs of campus, provide strategic planning, and coordinate IT unit efforts

  • ADMINISTRATIVE APPLICATIONS & ANALYTICS
    Manage administration, budgetary, & business operations applications (MyVSU, Data Warehouse, Peoplesoft, & more)
  • ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS, PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE, AND IT PURCHASING
  • INFORMATION SECURITY
    Manage security procedures and tools to monitor and protect digital information and processes; augment cybersecurity awareness
  • INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES
    Manage data center systems and servers that support most campus-wide applications (Auxiliary & Database Systems, Identity & Enterprise Services, and System Operations)
  • NETWORK SERVICES
    Manage campus-wide networking infrastructures and applications that provide wired and wireless connectivity, cloud services, virtual network services & more
  • TELE-COMMUNICATIONS
    Manage hardware and software for VoIP and analog services and telephones (voice calling, voicemail, instant messaging, Jabber, Presence); support Contact Center Services for IT, Admissions, & Financial Services
  • TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES
    Initial point of contact for technology assistance and training; maintain campus equipment and software (Asset Management, Classroom & Desktop Support, Solutions Center, Communication & Support)
