New Hire
Welcome to Valdosta State University!
Below are the steps you will complete to begin your employment with us. We are excited to welcome you into the Blazer family. HR/EOD is here to help with any questions as you blaze a path to success in your new role.
New Hire Process:
Once the verbal offer has been accepted, the official offer letter will be sent electronically to the e-mail address listed on the application.
Be sure to check your junk mail as the e-mail will come from "donotreply@usg.edu."
After the offer has been accepted electronically, an e-mail will be sent from Accurate Background Inc. to initiate the background check. Your legal name must be used when completing the consent forms.
Be sure to check your junk mail as the e-mail will come from "noreply_customer_service@accurate.com."
Upon completion of a successful background check, two e-mails from Equifax will be sent to you to complete your onboarding documents. One e-mail will include the link to access the documents along with your username, and the other e-mail will include your password.
Be sure to check your junk mail as the e-mail will come from "donotreply@equifax.com."
Once the onboarding packet from Equifax is complete, you will be required to present original identification in person to the office of Human Resources/Employee & Organizational Development to complete the I-9 requirements. We cannot accept copies or expired documents.
View the list of acceptable documents here.
Next, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from an HR/EOD Representative with your effective hire date.
