Alumni may contact the Main Circulation Desk to activate their library account. Alumni must supply their current address and contact information. 

Borrowing privileges are non-transferable and the individual named on the account is responsible for all items borrowed on that account and for any fines or charges for damages or lost materials. Alumni may check out up to 25 items at a time. All overdue fines or charges for damages or lost materials must be paid before checking out any more items.

Alumni may borrow books and other physical materials from the library. Alumni borrowers do not have access to Interlibrary Loan, GIL Express, or Course Reserves. All library visitors are welcome to use the designated visitor computers located behind the Reference Desk area to access the library’s online catalog, GALILEO, Valdosta State University websites, and government websites. Alumni borrowers do not have access to GALILEO from off campus due to licensing agreements and vendor restrictions. Alumni who are also residents of Georgia are encouraged to contact their local public library for access to GALILEO.
