University Advising & Student Transitions
This fall will be unlike no other, but we are glad we get to work with you. Some things you need to know:
Advising Sessions for Fall 2020 will be virtual.
We recommend you download Microsoft Teams to your computer and/or mobile device. Microsoft Teams is the platform we will use. It allows for video conferencing and screen sharing.
Things are moving a bit slower than usual due to increased email and phone volume. Please be patient with us. We will get back to you as quickly as we can.
We look forward to working with you and wish you the best as you begin Fall 2020. Also, please know we have had increased email and call volume. Please know you can use the resources you have in DegreeWorks and Visual Schedule Builder.
Advising is an essential component of a student’s successful academic life. At VSU, you’ll be placed with a professional, academic advisor specific to your college starting your first semester. Your advisor will work with you throughout your college career to ensure that you remain on track, complete courses required to obtain your degree, connect to campus resources, and discover your academic and career interests.
