Hometown: St. Mary's, Georgia
About me: Born and raised in South Georgia I always loved being surrounded by the mix of palm trees and pines, and always knew that it was home for me. Valdosta State University gave me that same feeling from day one. In starting my college search after high school, I knew I wanted somewhere that offered endless opportunities and an excellent education. My years spent in the classroom behind and in front of the camera as a Mass Media major I will never forget and my friends I made through different organizations and out on the town are ones I will have for a lifetime.
Favorite Spot on Campus: Our campus is beautiful! There would be days I would be walking from class to class looking around at the trees and architecture and think "do I really live here?!" Our campus is the perfect size for those daily strolls or evening runs. Saturdays in the fall are equally as great cheering on the Blazers in Bazemore-Hyder stadium!
My advice to you: When looking at colleges, find somewhere that feels like home. For the next four years, this is YOUR place. College is what you make it, so choose a place you love and get involved in everything possible! It's an experience you only get to have once!
